The problem
How do you sell a product with ‘Hot & Spicy’ in its name, when it’s neither hot nor spicy?

The solution
Play up the coolness factor.
While the product itself didn’t pack that much heat, the combination of KFC’s two biggest cult products (Popcorn Chicken & Hot & Spicy coating) was hot news. That’s why we developed the Pop ‘Em While They’re Hot campaign to drive sales with a scarcity message, mainly via social channels.

The background
Our TVC was developed in line with the “Did Someone Say KFC?” brand platform, which involved our free-spirited customers taking awkward situations and owning them.
